Laboratory
Laboratory staff includes medical technologists, medical laboratory technicians, and phlebotomists. A pathologist oversees operations of the laboratory. A pathologist is a medical doctor with specialized training in clinical laboratory services.
West Tennessee Healthcare hospital laboratories are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and offers testing in the disciplines of:
- Hematology/coagulation
- Chemistry
- Urinalysis
- Transfusion services
- Microbiology
- Pathology
Outpatient services are available during all open hours of the lab. Appointments are not necessary. No lab work can be done without a written order from your physician.
Patients who wish to have copies of lab service results must go to the Hospital’s Health Information Department (Medical Records) to obtain a copy. The lab does not provide these results to patients.
