Gynecologic Surgery

Women face unique health challenges at every age and stage of life. While many health conditions can be diagnosed and treated using noninvasive therapies, sometimes surgery is needed.

When Gynecologic Surgery Is the Solution

When you think about women’s health, the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and menopause might come to mind. That’s the big picture, but women can also face many other medical issues that can disrupt their daily lives and limit their quality of life.

There are a variety of health conditions specific to women. In many cases, these conditions can be treated using nonsurgical therapies. Women with polycystic ovary syndrome, for example, may benefit from medications and lifestyle changes.

Sometimes, though, other treatment options don’t provide relief or fully treat a medical condition. When that’s the case, gynecologic surgery may be recommended. Gynecologic surgery may also be used to diagnose certain women’s health conditions, including endometriosis and abnormal uterine bleeding.

We’re committed to providing women with the services they need to maintain good health and well-being. That includes a full spectrum of gynecologic surgery procedures.

In most cases, these procedures are performed on a scheduled basis, but our team of surgeons also has expertise in performing gynecologic surgery on an emergency basis when needed.
