Jackson, Tennessee (July 7, 2021) – West Tennessee Healthcare is pleased to announce that Scott
Barber has accepted the permanent position of Chief Executive Officer at Dyersburg Hospital after
serving as interim CEO since June 2020. As CEO at Dyersburg Hospital, Barber will be responsible for all
operations and overall management of the facility.
Barber earned his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and his Master of Business
Administration degrees from Bethel University, and has had extensive experience working in emergency
management. Barber is very active in his church and is involved in several community civic
organizations. He also served in the Tennessee Army National Guard as a 19 th Delta Cavalry Scout. Barber
has been married for 27 years to his wife Kim and has two daughters, Lauren and Grace.

team, and we believe that his experience and leadership will help us continue Dyersburg Hospital’s
