West Tennessee Healthcare and YMCA Announce Collaboration to Expand Childcare Hours and Capacity in the Region
Jackson, Tennessee (October 25, 2022) – West Tennessee Healthcare is excited to announce a new
collaboration with the YMCA West Tennessee which will increase childcare enrollment capacity in
addition to expanding hours to better meet childcare needs in the region.
Effective December 5, 2022, The Therapy & Learning Center will transition childcare services to the
YMCA Early Learning Center located at 32 Conrad Drive in Jackson. The new location will allow the YMCA
to serve more children and families, which will positively impact employers in the future as they
compete for employees in the community. The Therapy & Learning Center will provide therapy services
to children with special needs at the new location, and will continue to provide early intervention
services and therapy services to special needs children throughout the region as before.
“This collaboration is incredibly important due to the growing demand for quality childcare as well as
the lack of providers in the area,” stated Tina Prescott, Chief Operating Officer of West Tennessee
Healthcare.
Dave Bratcher, SVP, YMCA of West Tennessee, added, “We are so excited to serve the children of our
healthcare heroes, expanding access to high quality childcare in Jackson and beyond. It’s an honor to build
upon the firm foundation and move this important work forward.”
