West Tennessee Healthcare Bolivar Hospital, a critical access hospital with 25 licensed beds, is committed to providing superior healthcare services to ensure the health of our community. As a member of the American Hospital Association, Tennessee Hospital Association, and West Tennessee Hospital Council, we are licensed by the State of Tennessee, accredited by The Joint Commission, and approved by the Department of Health and Human Services for participation in Medicare and Medicaid Programs. Bolivar Hospital is a wholly-owned affiliate of West Tennessee Healthcare, governed by a separate advisory board composed of citizens from Bolivar and Hardeman County.
The facility offers a range of departments and services, including:
- Inpatient Services: Medical surgical unit, swing beds, emergency department, hospitalist, and respiratory care.
- Outpatient Services: Cardiac Holter monitor, EKGs, cardiac rehab, and outpatient physical therapy.
- Diagnostic Services: Laboratory and pathology services, radiology (X-ray), mammograms (screening and diagnostic), ultrasound, and CT scan.
- Other Services: Pharmacy, sleep lab, and health information.
The Advisory Board generally convenes at Bolivar Hospital at 5:00 p.m. on the third Monday of January, March, May, July, September, and November, although exceptions may apply.
