Oscar Segura, MD

Bio

Dr. Oscar Segura, a native of San Jose, Costa Rica, moved to Scotts Hill, Tennessee, with his mother and older sisters at the age of six. He later completed his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Memphis and his medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, where he spent eight enjoyable years.

During his time in Memphis, Dr. Segura gained valuable experience working various jobs, including as a fine dining restaurant server, medical scribe, and office manager for a psychiatrist office. After earning his medical degree, he relocated to Nashville for his Internal Medicine Residency at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. This experience significantly enhanced his leadership and medical skills.

In his final year of residency, Dr. Segura married his high school sweetheart and became the inaugural chief resident of his residency program. He is eager to return closer to his hometown in Jackson, Tennessee, and serve the community where he grew up as a physician. Dr. Segura is excited about this opportunity to make a positive impact in his community and looks forward to building lasting relationships with his patients.
