Bio
Madison Shumake’s educational journey began at The University of Tennessee at Martin, where she obtained her undergraduate degree in nursing. Striving to broaden her knowledge and abilities, she pursued a career as a Registered Nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Memphis. This experience also allowed her to obtain her Certified Lactation Counselor certificate.
During her time in the NICU, Madison discovered her passion for providing care and support to women. Inspired by this experience, she decided to pursue a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. At Georgetown, she focused her studies on becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Returning to her hometown, Madison completed the majority of her clinical rotations at West Tennessee Medical Group – Women’s Health Martin. With her education and experience, she is enthusiastic about serving the Martin community and offering comprehensive women’s healthcare services.
Madison and her husband, both hailing from Martin, have formed a close-knit family. Their two children, a son and a daughter, are the center of their lives. During the summer months, the family finds joy in spending time together at the lake, while in the fall, they gather to enthusiastically support their beloved Tennessee football team.
