Dr. Kovalic has been a lifelong chess player and played in rated tournaments throughout the country and currently holds an expert speed rating. He is also an avid basketball fan and player and is still getting pickup games together from time to time. He loves hiking, snow skiing and watching movies with his family. Other hobbies include chocolate, Chicago Pizza, Shakespeare’s plays, juggling and joke telling.
