Rand Martindale, RN
Emergency Department
Jackson-Madison County General Hospital
My mother was admitted through the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital ER one morning recently. Her nurse for the day shift in the ER was Rand Martindale, RN. He was very compassionate, caring, and humble during the time he spent with my mother and me. Rand was very observant of all mother’s clinical signs and symptoms. He communicated with the doctor regarding her care, what he was observing and what she may need. Rand consistently came to check on us and went above and beyond in caring for my mom.
We also observed that Rand was a team player with the full medical team, including other nurses in the area and with their patients. Time and again, Rand let his heart shine that day. Everything he did showed that he truly wanted his patients to have the very best care. As a nurse myself, this meant so much. Rand brought me peace and comfort knowing my mom was well taken care of, and he was consistently going above and beyond the call of duty. This nurse needs some recognition for the above and beyond care he gave humbly, no matter what was going on. You have our thanks, Rand!
Sincerely,
