Bio
Dr. Turner is originally from Newellton, Louisiana. He moved to Tennessee in 2006 and graduated from Huntingdon High School in 2009. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 2013, with an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. He earned his medical degree in 2017 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. After completing his residency in Family Medicine here in Jackson in 2020, he decided to stay as faculty. His special interests include teaching medical students and residents, especially regarding inpatient medicine and point-of-care ultrasound. His wife, Barbara, is a lifelong West Tennessean. They enjoy living in the Jackson community with their one child and two dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, hunting, and fishing.
