Manage Your Healthcare
MyChartBio
Dr. Natalie Hoshaw is a board-certified OB/GYN physician and surgeon with over 30 years’ experience focused on the study and practice of women’s health care.
She was raised and educated in the state of Oklahoma, the daughter of a career Air Force NCO. After graduating medical school in 1993, she, too, served in the armed forces, resigning her commission in the US Army in 2001 at the rank of Major.
After six years in private practice in Atlanta, GA she opted instead to seek employment at a series of small level 1 hospital systems and facilities having a mission of service to rural and underserved communities. To this end, she has worked in Oregon, Indiana, Missouri and most recently in Dyersburg, TN.
She is dedicated to practice to current standards and evidence-based best practices guidelines within the field of OB/GYN. Paraphrasing from the great Maya Angelou, ‘when we know better, we should do better’. She believes this timeless quote holds true perhaps nowhere better than in the ever-evolving field of medicine. She is passionate about patient education so that women can be informed decision makers about their own healthcare. She is a steadfast proponent of providing facility appropriate level care within the community whenever possible while transferring out that which would benefit from the services or specialists of a larger level 3 tertiary center.
Dr. Hoshaw is excited about her new role in Dyersburg, to being a part of a rotating physician team of three and to working alongside long term established advanced practice nurse practitioners and physician assistants within the clinic.
