Dr. Murtaza graduated from The Aga Khan University with his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He then went to Houston Methodist Hospital where he completed his internal medicine residency, the University of Arizona College of Medicine to complete his cardiovascular disease fellowship, and finally to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for his interventional cardiology fellowship. Dr. Murtaza has several committee memberships and awards: Chief Fellow at the University of Arizona, Fellow of the Year, and Inpatient Hospitalist Committee to Improve Patient Outcomes and Quality, and Patient Safety Committee.
