Neonatal Intensive Care
Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides highly specialized care for babies born prematurely or those who require extra medical attention after birth. Our neonatal team includes board-certified neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, a highly skilled nursing staff, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and certified lactation consultants, all of whom provide these special babies with the highest level of care.
Pediatrics
Parents seldom think of their child becoming sick or getting hurt, but accidents and illnesses are often a part of childhood. Children who become ill or are injured need medical treatment designed to meet their special needs.
Our Pediatric Unit, located within Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, focuses solely on the needs of children. This dedicated area, cheerfully decorated with bright colors from floor to ceiling, serves children and teens of all ages in need of tests, surgery or treatment. Our 22-bed unit is staffed by a team of caring professionals such as registered nurses, respiratory therapists, pediatric pharmacist, child life specialist, social workers, case managers, dietitians and maternal child assistants who have a child’s comfort and needs as their top priority. Each child is cared for like an entire person with special attention given to his emotional and psychological needs as well as his physical needs.
Pediatric Hospitalists
Pediatric hospitalists are pediatricians who care for children once they are admitted into the hospital. Partnering with families, pediatricians, and other specialists provide a comprehensive approach to patient care. The Pediatric Hospitalists provide patient coverage twenty-four hours, seven days a week.

Therapy & Learning Center
The Therapy & Learning Center helps individuals with all types of disabilities celebrate and develop their unique gifts. Efforts are directed at monitoring the special needs of our clients during therapy, learning and care while also extending support to their families. Whether early intervention programs, adult day services, childcare classroom instruction or therapeutic services, we work with each person and family to provide a support system upon which he can grow and develop successfully.
