Volunteers with Hospice of West Tennessee provide both direct and indirect care to our families. Giving your time as a volunteer requires patience, a listening ear, and a clear understanding of end of life care. Intensive training, specific to your interest, is provided through Hospice of West Tennessee Volunteer Services prior to beginning your time as a volunteer.

Hospice volunteers provide some of the following services to our patients and families:

  • Assistance with special events such as memorial services, educational seminars, Camp W.I.N.G.’s, and fundraising events
  • Administrative support with special projects, monthly mail outs, and telephone support.
  • In-home support that includes visiting, reading, singing, and respite care. *Respite support is only provided by volunteers.
  • Assistance with bereavement services which includes completing follow up bereavement calls and assisting in monthly mailouts.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or if you would like more information, please call 731-664-4220.
